For the PreK through Kindergarten, we offer a half-day option that allows for early pick-up at 12:45. We offer an extended-day plan which runs from 3:00 to 6:00 and includes a snack. All students may opt for our three-day week (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday only).

  • Haitian Immersion: Kanaval ak Rara with Ingleed

    Come explore a piece of Haiti’s Kanaval season through a native's eyes!
    Students will get a taste of the Haitian Kanaval scene, form Rara bands, dance activities, cook some popular Haitian appetizers, and learn some Haitian Kreyòl words. Stories from Ingleed's childhood in Haiti, will be shared as well. By the end of the course, students will present some of what they learned in the class, and the Rara band will perform.

    Ingleed Auguste has also danced since three when she began her study of Haitian Folkloric. From there, she studied ballet and African dance before joining a Congolese troupe. She has taught students various styles of dance at the Community Art Center, SummerTime, the Unit elective, and Unit play. 
  • Gardening with Habitat

    Spend a week answering the question "who's garden is it?" In this conversation, your child will further an understanding of gardens being for people, invertebrates, birds, and other animals. Storytelling, mysteries, and of course, gardening, will be the vehicles for these discoveries. By the end of the week, the aim is deepen the understanding of the garden, the garden's ecological niche, as well as surrounding habitats. 
    Habitat, a Mass Audubon education center and wildlife sanctuary in Belmont, is bringing their enriching programming to our campus this summer.  A long-standing center for environmental education, Habitat offers year-round programs for all ages. 
  • Engineering with Parts and Crafts

    Engineering with Parts and Crafts is bringing us a world of discovery this week. With potential workshops like lightsaber building, potions, and rocket day! you can't go wrong. 
    Parts and Crafts is committed to 1) democratizing technology/technical competency, 2) promoting self-direction and autonomous education, 3) prioritizing economic accessibility, and 4) a commitment to warmth, friendliness, whimsy, and openness which comes from our work with kids. 
Fayerweather is a private PreK, kindergarten, elementary and middle school. We engage each child’s intellect, imagination and social responsibility. Our students are confident, resourceful and enthusiastic learners.
